Srinagar: Pakistani drone movement was detected along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Saturday. After which the army personnel fired several rounds. Giving information in this regard, official sources said, army personnel spotted the drone at around 9.10 pm on Friday near the Baloni area of the KG sector of Poonch.

On seeing the drone coming from across the border, the Army personnel fired at it. Although the drone did not get shot, it returned to Pakistan territory. Security forces were on alert after a drone was suddenly spotted in the KG sector of Mendhar in the Poonch district. Following this, the Special Operations Group of the Army and the Police started a large-scale checking in the area. Earlier in May, the BSF had spotted a drone in the Arnia sector along the international border, after which the jawans started firing. After eight rounds of firing, the drone went back to the Pakistan area. Although the security forces launched a search operation after this, they did not find anything suspicious.  

Let us know that many times before this, drones coming from the Pakistan side have been seen in this area. However, as soon as the BSF personnel fired at it, it get returned. There has been an increase in the incidents of suspicious drone sightings in Jammu, which has further alerted the security agencies.
