J&K: Pakistani woman arrested for crossing LoC

Srinagar: The Indian Army on Friday night apprehended a Pakistani woman in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. The woman crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and entered India. Officials said the woman has been identified as Rozina (49) of the Ferozebanda area of Islamabad in Pakistan. Officials said Rozina crossed the Line of Control at Chakra Da Bagh in the Poonch sector.

He said the woman was arrested and the army was interrogating her. Only after the interrogation will it be clear for what purpose the Pakistani woman crossed the LoC into India. On the other hand, in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district, authorities have ordered an inquiry into an encounter between terrorists and security forces on June 19. Four terrorists were killed in that encounter. The encounter took place in Chandigam area of Lolab area of North Kashmir's Kupwara district.

Lolab's SDM has been appointed the investigating officer to investigate the anti-terror operation in Chandigam under Section 176 of the CRPC. The spokesperson said that people are informed that if anyone has any kind of information regarding the subject, he can record his statement within 7 days from the date of publication of this notice.
