NEW DELHI: ITC reaffirmed its commitment to a 'Greener Earth' through its bold Sustainability 2.0 agenda on World Environment Day.

Building on a two-decade sustainability journey, ITC has set an ambitious Vision to scale up its efforts in combating climate change while promoting large-scale sustainable livelihoods under the leadership of Chairman Sanjiv Puri.

S Sivakumar, Group Head, Agri, IT and Sustainability, ITC Ltd, said of ITC's multifaceted sustainability activities, "ITC has, throughout the years, deployed innovative business models that synergize the construction of economic, environmental, and social capital as a cohesive approach." Today, our ambitious Sustainability 2.0 agenda aims to further ITC's efforts in decarbonisation, green infrastructure, climate-smart and regenerative agriculture, ensuring water security for all, restoring biodiversity through nature-based solutions, creating an effective circular economy, developing sustainable packaging solutions, and enabling the transition to a net zero economy.

The Company has been recognised 'A' at the Leadership Level for both Climate Change and Water Security by CDP, 'AA' by MSCI-ESG (the highest among peers), and featured in the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index in recognition of its strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) models.
