NEW DELHI: In honour of International Day of Biological Diversity and World Environment Day, Vedanta's Iron Ore Business launched the SesaForGreenerGood campaign, which highlights unique Biodiversity conservation and methodical Mine reclamation efforts across all business units.
It began with a teaser on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn to give a taste of the campaign. The campaign will also highlight ESG initiatives and will be aimed at mobilising stakeholders to contribute even more to the adoption of strong sustainable industrial standards.
The campaign will highlight the company's green model, which includes various sustainability initiatives implemented by Sesa Goa Iron Ore, such as afforestation, pisciculture project, nakshatra garden, charak vatika, spice plantation, butterfly park, bamboo setum, bamboo pavilion, Sesa Technical School, Sesa Football Academy, and will raise awareness about replication of similar initiatives for Biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
"This will be accomplished by sharing success stories, testimonies, and the methodology behind these projects to highlight Sesa Goa Iron Ore Business's committed efforts to establish new industry trends," the business said in a statement. Sesa Goa Iron Ore Business has also recently used the revolutionary Miyawaki plantation technology to build green belt areas, as well as several water conservation and carbon neutrality measures.
