It was reported for quite some time that Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone could be working in director Kabir Singh's film 83. It was reported that Deepika would be seen playing the role of actor Ranveer Singh's wife in the film. Now, while terming the rumours as true, Deepika Padukone herself has said that she will be a part of the film 83.

In a recent interview to The Times of India, Deepika Padukone revealed that she is all set to play the role of Kapil Dev's wife, Romi Bhatia, in the film 83. She also said that Kapil Dev's character, if he had been playing anyone else instead of Ranveer Singh, then also she would portray Romi's character.

In the interview, actor Deepika Padukone has said that, "our personal acquisition does not affect our work and I can't even think of any other actor who could do justice to Kapil Dev's role, though if any other actors in this film also do their role, I definitely played my role in that situation."

Further reports say," This is not from our personal acquisition but because of my passion and enthusiasm for the film. The main thing is that after the marriage tie-up with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, it Will debut."
