Jammu & Kashmir: Troops deployed, administration focusing on emergency services

Srinagar: Security has been tightened on the third day of the withdrawal of Articles 370 and 35A from Jammu and Kashmir. The administration asked people to cooperate. Things have been tense in many places, though they were dealt with. Emergency services are currently being given a lot of attention by the administration.

On the Kashmir issue, officials say security is being reviewed every day. According to the administration, it is a security demand. In Srinagar, security is relaxed in the evening, which continues till 5 am. However, security in North and South Kashmir remains tight. On the other hand, President Ram Nam Kovind has approved the repeal of Article 370, which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, the Parliament on Tuesday approved a resolution to abolish most of the provisions of Article 370 on Special Status and a bill to divide Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. According to information, the country's Home Minister Amit Shah sought permission to withdraw the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Second Amendment Bill, 2019.
