Hyderabad: A month after the inauguration, YSR Congress party President Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to move into residence-cum-office complex in Tadepalli area of Amaravati on May 23 when the counting of votes will take place. According to the sources, Mr. Jagan is confident of winning the Andhra Assembly polls and the party has planned to convert the building into Jagan's official residence once he becomes the Andhra Chief Minister.

Throughout the elections, YSR Congress chief was operating from party office situated in Banjara Hills in Hyderabad and faced criticism from the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP), that he was running the show from Hyderabad under the directions of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao.

During the polling days, Jagan had to rush to Hyderabad to coordinate party activities and all through the process except a short stay at Vijayawada, YSR chief ran the campaign from Hyderabad. Crucial party meetings including the selection of candidates and major pressers were held only in Hyderabad.

While the TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu has downplayed Jagan's significance in the Assembly polls, political experts firmly believe that the fight was between Naidu and Jagan Mohan Reddy.

In the last elections, Telugu Desam Party had emerged victorious, winning 99 seats, while Jagan's YSR managed only 66 seats. During this election, Jagan focused his campaign over corruption and coined  'Ninnu Nammam Babu' (we don’t trust you, Babu) as party's election slogan.
