Puri: Rath Yatra is scheduled to begin tomorrow i.e. 12th July at Puri in Odisha but a 48-hour curfew is going to be imposed before that i.e. Let me tell you that in the order of the district administration, it has been said that the ban is going to be in force from 8 pm on Sunday to 8 pm on July 13. You must all know that the annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is scheduled to take place on 12th July. The Odisha government has sealed all entry points in Puri and imposed restrictions in view of the Covid-19 epidemic.
In fact, Puri Collector Samarth Verma issued a statement last Saturday saying, "The owners of hotels and lodges have been asked to ensure that no tourist stays in the city during the Rath Yatra.'' He also said, "Similar instructions have been issued to private guest houses of various companies and corporate houses. Ahead of the curfew, the state government on Saturday relaxed some of the local residents of Puri.''
Let me tell all of you that the Government has also appealed to the people not to go to Puri during the festival but to watch the live telecast of rath yatra on TV. On the other hand, the celebration of Lord Jagannath's annual Rath Yatra in Puri began last Friday with the 'Nav Yuvaan Darshan' of God, during which his youth is worshipped after 14 days in 'Anasara Ghar.' Lord Jagannath, Lord Balbhadra, and Goddess Subhadra appeared during 'Nav Yuvaan Darshan' after spending 14 days in 'Anasara Ghar.' Though more than 10 lakh people gather in Puri every year during the Rath Yatra, this is not happening due to the Corona period this time.
