Srinagar: Militants have carried out a murder case in Kashmir. The militants abducted two people belonging to Gujjar community from a forest in south Kashmir's Pulwama district. Then they were murdered. Both were gunned down. Their bodies were found in the Tral forest. This is the first such terrorist incident after Section 370 was abolished from Jammu and Kashmir.
State officials said that on the night of 18th and 19th August, suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists abducted Abdul Qadir Kohli and his cousin Manj Dad Kohli, a resident of Nomados Gujjar community from the jungle area of Tral area of Pulwama district. The search for the two was launched on the information. On Monday night, Abdul Qadir's body was recovered. However, the search for the Manjur continued. His body was recovered on Tuesday morning.
Abdul Qadir's body was recovered from the high altitude area of Tral, Lichinag and the body of Manjur was recovered from the Lava Top forest area of Tral. This is the first terrorist incident since the Central government repealed the provisions of Section 370 and announced the division of the state in the Union Territories on August 5. Earlier on August 21, a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist and a special police officer were killed in Baramulla while a deputy police inspector was injured. Since the removal of Section 370, a lot of vigils has been maintained in the state, especially in the Valley.
