New Delhi: Dr. S. Jaishankar, India's External Affairs Minister, spoke with his Hungarian and Moldavian counterparts on Sunday to discuss assistance in the evacuation of Indian people stranded in Ukraine due to the Russia-Ukraine crisis. The EAM expressed gratitude to Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto for his assistance in the evacuation of Indian nationals from Ukraine and asked for further cooperation.
In an interview with Twitter, Jaishankar stated, "Hungarian FM Peter Szijjarto was contacted. Thank you for your assistance with the evacuation so far. On the Hungary-Ukraine border, he requested further cooperation." Jaishankar also met with Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu to seek support for Indian citizens crossing the Ukraine-Moldova border.

According to External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, the fourth flight has departed Bucharest (Romania) for Delhi, safely returning 198 trapped Indians from Ukraine.
So far, 469 Indian citizens have been evacuated from Ukraine's war-torn country, with 250 arriving in Delhi on Sunday morning and 219 arriving in Mumbai on Saturday evening.
