New Delhi: Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind will file a review petition on Monday afternoon against the Supreme Court verdict in the Ayodhya case. Sources in this major organization of Muslims have given information in this regard. The executive committee of the Jamiat constituted a panel of five members on 14 November, consisting of legal experts and religious affairs scholars.

This committee was formed to look into every aspect of the November 9 decision of the Supreme Court. This panel, led by Jamiat chief Maulana Arshad Madani, looked into the possibility of a review petition challenging the verdict of the apex court and recommended that a review petition should be filed in the matter. Earlier, spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has appealed to the Muslim side in the Ayodhya Ram temple and Babri Masjid case to reconsider his decision to file a review petition against the verdict of the apex court.

According to sources, the Muslim organization Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Hind may file a review petition on Tuesday. To this, Ravi Shankar has said that 'the Muslim side has the right to file a review petition against the verdict of the apex court. They have an opportunity. This issue is now over, so I have to ask them to reconsider their decision (filing a review petition). '
