Srinagar: terror outfit Al Qaeda affiliated Ansar Gajwat UL Hind has made Hameed Llahari as its local commander. 30-year-old Hameed Leharari is a resident of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir. In a video released on Eid, al-Qaida aide said that the organization has made Hameed Lehgari the local commander in place of Zakir Musa and Gazi Ibrahim Khalid as deputy commander.

In fact, on Wednesday, Ansar Gazawat ul Hind has released a 12-minute video, which tells Abdul Hameed Leharari, alias Aaron Abbas, to be declared as its local commander. Gazi Ibrahim Khalid has been appointed deputy commander, according to an audio statement from Al-Qaida spokesman Abu Ubaida.

Security agencies report that the strings of this terrorist organization may be associated with al-Qaida. Al-Qaida is trying to expand its presence. Last month, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) also confirmed the presence of the Islamic State in the valley. Let me tell you that Zakir Musa was commander of Ansar, an al-Qaida unit in Kashmir, from 27 July 2017. He was earlier the commander of Hizbul Mujahideen after the killing of Burhan Wani in 2016.
