Jammu: The state's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday, visited the Pulwama town of southern Kashmir affected by extreme terror and discussed development works. Due to this, he inaugurated a development project worth Rs 40.86 crore, and laid the foundation stone for seven development projects costing Rs 13.47 crore. He told the officers present on the occasion that the development works related to the public should be completed within the stipulated time. Breaking the tradition, expressing confidence in the public, the Lt. Governor reached here by road instead of a helicopter.
He said that the state government is ready to improve the lives of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Development work will be done at a rapid pace in every city. He asked the officers to solve the problems of the general public on the spot. Stay connected with people, establish team spirit and harmony in public distribution system, and be sensitive to public issues.
The Lieutenant Governor met several delegations due to the tour. A meeting was also held with the Panch Sarpanchs and other delegations. The projects that the Lieutenant Governor inaugurated were mostly connected by road. Due to the review meeting of the development scenario of Pulwama, the Lt. Governor summoned important figures related to various government strategies and initiatives. Along with this, many discussions were held in the works of public interest by the Lieutenant Governor, and the officers were instructed to immediately solve the problems of the people.
