Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir administration has asked for a premature end to the Amarnath Yatra in view of the possibility of a terror attack. Security forces have recovered a sniper gun on the way to the spot. Sources said, the terrorist outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed is in the throes of a terror attack in Kashmir. According to Indian Army sources, five Jaish militants have infiltrated into Kashmir.

According to sources, The Klemore mine was recovered near Sheshnag on the way to Amarnath Yatra. The Claymore mine is said to have been manufactured in Pakistan. Sources also said that for the first time, The Klemore mine was recovered in Jammu and Kashmir. According to devotees, the Amarnath Cave, located 3,888 m above sea level in Kashmir, forms a huge ice Shivling which symbolizes the mythological powers of Lord Shiva. The 45-day Amarnath Yatra, which began on 17th July this year, will conclude with Shravan Purnima on 15th August.

Earlier also, the Amarnath Yatra has been disrupted. Earlier, Amarnath Yatra was also stopped on the day when citizens of Jammu and Kashmir celebrated the death anniversary of terrorist Burhan Wani. The Amarnath Yatra had to be stopped twice due to bad weather.
