According to media reports, the Prime Minister reacted on Twitter following a tweet from Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on the results of The Panchayat elections in Tripura. He tweeted that congratulating the local unit for the hard work in this election. The Prime Minister appealed to BJP workers from other states along with Tripura to appeal to BJP workers from other states to communicate with the workers of Tripura. He also said that the victory in Tripura's panchayat elections shows that everything is possible with proper efforts. The party's consistent victory in Tripura shows the power of development politics and democratic nature.

In his statement, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said that BJP has won 90 per cent of the seats in the three-phase panchayat elections in the state. BJP has won 114 out of 116 seats in the district council elections held in eight districts. The BJP has won 411 seats out of 419 seats of panchayat committees in 35 blocks. In addition, out of a total of 6111 seats in 591 panchayats, BJP has won 5916 seats.
