Srinagar: The doors of Jammu and Kashmir, which have been closed for the last 11 months, will soon be reopened to tourists due to the removal of Section 370 and then the lockdown implemented for the prevention of Coronavirus infection. Jammu and Kashmir government will soon issue a guideline for movement and will allow tourists to come here. This news has raised a ray of hope in the tourism industry.

This decision has been taken on Monday in a high-level meeting under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu. Instructions were issued to reopen the tourism sector considered to be the backbone of the economy of Jammu and Kashmir. Government spokesperson Rohit Kansal has tweeted late on Monday night that 'Jammu and Kashmir will open again for tourists soon'. The government will soon issue guidelines for this. Today the Lt. Governor issued instructions in a high-level meeting in Srinagar.

Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir decided to reopen the tourism sector on Monday, which has been closed since August last year. The central government abolished the special status of the state in August last year. The authorities had banned the entry of tourists from India and abroad in the region as a precaution in view of the havoc of Coronavirus disease.
