Jammu: The 270 km long Jammu and Kashmir highway has been closed for 3 days due to the fall of rocks between Ramban and Banihal due to torrential rains and 4 lane extension work of the highway in Jammu and Kashmir. Traffic on the highway has come to a standstill due to the road closure. Long queues of trains have started in many places. Due to this problem, thousands of people going to the valley and coming from there are trapped in Udhampur, Ramban, Banihal, and Qazigund.

Passengers in stranded vehicles remained distressed throughout the day due to the closure of the highway and waited for the highway to open.
