Srinagar: Kashmir recorded the lowest temperature of the weather on Friday morning, causing people to feel a blood-stained cold. Last night in Srinagar, the temperature went down to minus 5.6 degrees Celsius, which has been the coldest night of the season. While the temperature in Gulmarg was recorded at minus 9.6 degrees Celsius, the temperature in Pahalgam was recorded at minus 12 degrees Celsius at night.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the weather will remain the same in the coming week. Sonam Lotus, director of the Meteorological Department of Kashmir, while talking to the media said that it is 'Chillai Kalan', as we are seeing that the temperature has reached below zero. The weather will remain the same for the next week. Due to such weather, people are facing many problems.

Water has frozen in many places, and water supply has been disrupted in homes, due to which people have faced a huge problem. Due to the cold wave, some part of Dal Lake has been frozen, due to which the tourists are enjoying it, but the locals are having problems. At the same time, the situation of people has become worse due to disrupted power supply.
