Satyapal Malik said that "the thinking of the people that the governor is someone who does nothing for the people, we need to change this thinking".

GMC in Kathua has been formally started in the last five months, in which classes have also started from the last one month. The medical classes in the hospital were to be inaugurated by the Governor on August 6, but the inauguration was postponed due to the situation created after the implementation of Article 370 in the state. This is Malik's third visit to Kathua after becoming Governor in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, he joined the stadium as the chief guest in the cricket competition. After that, the kiddies will be seen along with Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari during the inauguration of the Gandayal bridge.
