Now that Suga has announced this, after Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, he is being described as the prime contender for assuming the post of Prime Minister.

You all must know that Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party is preparing to elect the successor of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the upcoming September 14. Yes, Abe has resigned from the post of Prime Minister due to poor health and diseases here. In such a situation, former Defense Minister Shigeru Ishiba and former Foreign Minister Fumio joined the race to become Prime Minister here.

Now after these two, Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihida Suga has also registered his name. Here, the party's internal voting is going to be held on September 14, in which Suga has emerged as a favorite candidate. By the way, you must know that Prime Minister Shinzo (65) has been suffering from stomach disease for a long time and he has visited the hospital twice this month on 17 and 24 August. Only after all these have he resigned from his post. In the month of August itself, Abe has completed seven years and six months as Prime Minister.
