MUMBAI: Singer-composer Jasleen Royal has released "Thunai Varuven," a Tamil translation of her own Hindi song "Sang Rahiyo." Royal is best known for her hit songs "Nachde Ne Saare," "Din Shagna Da," "Ranjha," and many others.
The song features healthy snippets from the occasions preceding actress Hansika Motwani's nuptials to Sohael Kathuriya.
A businessman from Bombay named Sohael serves as a designated partner for Hansika Motwani's event management company. He is a businessman who also owns a textile company that has been selling apparel internationally since 1985.
The Tamil version of "Thunai Varuven," which Jasleen extensively collaborated on with lyricist Vignesh Ramakrishna and vocalist Sanjith Hegde, won Hansika and Sohael's hearts at their magnificent wedding and is certain to win that of Indian listeners as well. Speaking of performing this song, particularly at the wedding of the famous couple: "I'm ecstatic about singing my first Tamil song because I've never done it before. Due to the popularity of my songs like "Din Shagna Da," "Ranjha," "Nachde Ne Saare," and "Sang Rahiyo," I have earned a reputation as something of a wedding specialist. I am so overjoyed to sing a song for the lovely couple Hansika and Sohael on their special day." She added that the song ultimately served as the show's theme tune. At its best, the song captures the couple's journey of love and longing as they begin a joyful new chapter of life with the wedding. It was especially written as a wonderful wedding gift for Hansika.
On March 17, "Hansika's Love Shaadi Drama" will air its final episode on Disney+ Hotstar.
