Washington: On Monday, it was revealed that Jason Greenblatt, a former US special envoy to Israel and the Arab world under Donald Trump's presidency, had joined the think tank Jerusalem Centre for Public Affairs as senior director for Arab-Israel diplomacy.
The Abraham Accords peace agreement between Israel and the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan was mediated by Greenblatt, a well-known diplomat in the US and the Middle East.
Dan Diker, president of the JCPA, declared that he was "honoured" to welcome Greenblatt to the group.

"Jason brings with him a wealth of experience and close relationships with Arab states across the region, including some without normalisation agreements with Israel," the official said.

Greenblatt called the JCPA a "do tank" in addition to a think tank and said he was "proud" to be joining. He also wrote about it on Twitter.

"JCPA now serves as a convener and communications hub for policy, diplomacy, and communications connecting the Arab world, Africa, Israel, and the West," he said. "In addition to producing top-quality research and strategic policy initiatives.
