Team India's fast bowling leader Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia due to a back injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced this on Monday. Bumrah will not be able to play in this tournament of the International Cricket Council (ICC) due to injury. After being out of this mega event, now Jasprit Bumrah's reaction has come out. He has spoken about being out of the World Cup by tweeting on Tuesday.
Bumrah tweeted, 'I am sad that I will not be a part of the T20 World Cup this time, but I am grateful for the good wishes, care and support received from my special people. As soon as I recover, I will support the team's campaign in Australia.' BCCI has also reacted to this post of Jasprit Bumrah. BCCI retweeted that, 'May our speedster get well soon.'
Bumrah's absence will certainly affect India's chances in Australia as last-over bowling is the biggest concern for the team right now. The fast bowler is undergoing treatment at the National Cricket Academy and the BCCI was awaiting his medical report, but it was certain that he would not be able to play cricket for the next several months.
