Dubai: India's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has returned to the top of the ICC Test bowling rankings after taking six wickets in India's second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur. The 30-year-old reclaimed the No.1 position from teammate Ravichandran Ashwin, who was named Player of the Series for his performance against Bangladesh.

Spinner Ravindra Jadeja maintained his position at sixth, while Kuldeep Yadav stayed firm at 16th in the bowling rankings.

In the batting rankings, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was named Player of the Match in the Kanpur Test, achieved a career-best third position. Jaiswal impressed with scores of 72 and 51, helping India secure a seven-wicket victory in the rain-affected match. The 22-year-old now holds 792 rating points, trailing only Kane Williamson (829) and Joe Root (899).

Veteran batter Virat Kohli made his way back into the top 10, climbing six places to take the sixth spot after scoring 47 and 29 in the Kanpur Test. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant dropped three spots to ninth, while captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill hold the 15th and 16th positions, respectively.

In the all-rounder rankings, there was little change. Jadeja continues to lead, followed by Ashwin in second and Axar Patel in seventh.

India also remains second in the team rankings with 120 rating points, just four points behind leader Australia, while England is third with 108 points.

Further, India continues to dominate the World Test Championship (WTC) standings, holding a point percentage of 74.24% after 11 matches, ahead of second-placed Australia, who have 62.50% after 12 Tests.
