Today, the country is celebrating the 75th anniversary of Independence Day. This time, five-time National Award winner and lyricist Javed Akhtar has assumed that 'true freedom can be achieved only if you have the option where you can make your own decisions.' Recently, Javed Akhtar said, 'You should not be forced to do anything or be deprived of certain privileges. According to me, freedom is a continuous process. The national independence that we got on 15th August was only the beginning. Those who are economically deprived are not completely independent.'

At the same time, he also said, "A person who could not get basic education, how independent this person is because he is now dependent on someone else. Without social and economic freedom, our freedom is not complete. The process is on and we should work in that direction.'' He said all this on the India Shayari Project on G5 today, 15th August.

In the meantime, he also said, "Responsibility somehow makes you feel that this is something you have to do. And the word 'responsibility' has an external pressure. When someone says the responsibility of the artist, it should be the right of the artist. This is what the artist wants to do freely. Not because they are pressured by someone, or forced to do so, but because they do it of their own free will.''
