NEW DELHI: The sixth Edition of the Jazz India Circuit will take place on March 19 in Gurugram after a three-year hiatus. The Matteo Fraboni Trio, the Aditi Ramesh Trio, and the Darshan Doshi Trio will all perform at this year's jazz event.

Teamwork Arts' Principal Executive Producer, Avik Roy, said: "After a three-year hiatus, we are happy to finally bring the Jazz India Circuit back. The JIC has always served as a venue to display the best jazz from both India and throughout the world " There will be numerous well-known performers on stage, including Dave Weckl, Louis Banks, Stanley Jordan, Jamison Ross, and Jojo Mayer. Three trios, each led by two drummers and a singer, will perform as the triple headliners of JIC 2023.

"We will hear a range of jazz music performed by The Darshan Doshi Trio, Aditi Ramesh's Trio, and Italian drummer Matteo Fraboni's Trio. These performances will include classic jazz, jazz and Carnatic music fusions, and jazz with drum and bass music. You really cannot miss this night if you enjoy music."

The Jazz India Circuit International Festival is a “one-stop destination to hear the newest and most diverse acts in contemporary jazz”. The festival, which is staged annually  aims to push the boundaries of what typically constitutes the sound of jazz by curating experimental, up-tempo and funky styles of the form.

Guitarist Stanley Jordan, drummers Dave Weckl, Jojo Mayer and Jamison Ross and jazz-fusion bands House of Waters and The Shuffle Demons are some of the virtuoso acts to have played at the Jazz India Circuit International Festival since its launch in 2015. The theme of the upcoming edition of the festival is “The Sound of Freedom”. It is now going  to be held on 19 March, 2023 at Gurugram.
