Patna: India's General Budget was presented in the Lok Sabha by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday. Due to this, the Finance Minister made many kinds of announcements. Now, the reaction of political parties to the Budget has also started coming. The JD(U), which is part of the NDA, has expressed disappointment over the budget. JDU Parliamentary Party President Upendra Kushwaha has termed the budget disappointing.
He tweeted, "Union Budget is historic for developed states but disappointing for Bihar. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Ji has saddened all of us Biharis by ignoring the demand for special status for Bihar. In fact, various opposition parties, including the JDU, have been continuously demanding the central government to give special status to Bihar. JDU president Lallan Singh has been continuously campaigning on social media for the past few days, but there has been no open reaction from the Centre so far.''
In such a situation, everyone expected that maybe something should be announced in the budget to give special status to Bihar. However, the BJP is already saying that Bihar need not be given special status. The Centre has anyway given more packages to Bihar, through which continuous development works are being done in the state.
