Patna: Politics continues on farmer movement. In this sequence, RJD leader Shivanand Tiwari has commented on Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. He has denied the award of Bharat Ratna to Sachin Tendulkar. Shivanand said that awarding Bharat Ratna to Sachin is an insult to honour. JDU has taken a sharp turn on this statement of RJD leader.
Shivanand Tiwari said that the farmer living in the village does not know anything about Rihanna or Greta. The government fielded Sachin Tendulkar against him. He advertises a wide variety of products. He is a model. The award of Bharat Ratna to a person like Sachin Tendulkar is an insult to this prestigious award. He also said that the way the movement of farmers is going on, the way they are standing in the cold. If the 26 January sentence is omitted, the finger cannot be raised on them.
JDU spokesperson Sanjay Singh, while reacting to this, said that Shivanand Tiwari should give up the Rajya Sabha pension. Before making a statement about Sachin Tendulkar, he would have asked his leader and so-called cricketer Tejashwi Yadav. Shivanand Tiwari is insulting the pride of the country. This statement reflects RJD's thinking. In the Grand Alliance, the RJD's ally, the Congress, shied away from this statement of Shivanand Tiwari.
