JDU leader Tanveer Akhtar dies of COVID, CM Nitish mourns

Senior Janata Dal leader and a member of Bihar Legislative Council Tanveer Akhtar succumbed to death on Saturday. He contracted the novel coronavirus due to which he died. He was in-charge of the state of JDU Minority Cell.

Tanveer Akhtar became an MLC in 2016 while his term was till July 2022. After the news of his demise, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed condolences on the death. CM Nitish said ?Legislative Councilor Tanveer was a skilled politician, a sociable person and remembered him as a very popular mass leader.? The Chief Minister has said that the last rites of Tanveer Akhtar will be performed with state honors.

 

 

 

 

Meanwhile, the state has recorded the maximum number of 1.21 corona infected so far. Of these 98100 infected have become healthy while 10 infected have died during treatment.
