Patna: A woman from Valmiki Nagar in Bihar has lodged a complaint against JDU MLA Rinku Singh on Monday. Complainant Kumud Verma reached Nitish Kumar's Janata Darbar held in Patna on Monday. He alleged that Rinku Singh, JDU MLA from Valmiki Nagar, was involved in the murder of her husband Dayanand Verma in February this year but was not arrested by Bihar police.

After hearing his complaint, CM Nitish Kumar immediately asked him to approach DGP SK Singhal. CM Nitish Kumar said DGP will look into the matter. An FIR has been registered at Naurangia police station on the written letter of the deceased's wife Kumud Verma. Dayanand Verma was shot dead on February 14 while talking to supporters at Sirisia Chowk in Bagha city.

Police said two miscreants riding bikes came there and opened indiscriminate fire on them. Dayanand was hit by four bullets and died at divisional hospital Bagha. Dayanand Verma was a politician as well as a contractor in Bagha and adjoining districts. There may be a dispute behind his murder. Rinku Singh and his two associates have been absconding since then.
