Patna: Janata Dal (United) vice-president and electoral strategist Prashant Kishore on Saturday expressed his displeasure at the presence of veteran Congress leaders from the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Civil Register (NRC). He has asked the leaders of the Congress party to take part in these protests, otherwise, there is no point in releasing videos in this regard by a person like Sonia Gandhi.

Kishore tweeted that "Congress and its high command are missing from the road in the civil war against CAA-NRC". Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi released a video on Friday night on the issue of CAA and NRC. Kishore has said, "At least you can ask all the Chief Ministers of Congress to declare that NRC will not be implemented in their state. Otherwise such rhetoric makes no sense."
