Guwahati: Assam Police has exposed a big fraud in the JEE MAIN exam. The police has arrested three candidates who have topped Assam with 99.8% marks in JEE, his father Dr Jyotirmoy Das (a doctor in Guwahati) and three other people who manage the proxy (having the other person write the paper).

It is alleged that JEE topper Neel Nakshatra Das got 99.8% in the Mains examination without taking the exam. That is, Neil Nakshatra Das used a proxy in the examination held on 5 September. In this case, along with father and son, Hamendra Nath Sarma, Pranjal Kalita and Hiralal Pathak (employees of the examination centre in Guwahati) have been arrested.

In the case of case number 624/2020, the Ajra Police has registered a case under Section 120 (B) / 419/420/406 of the IPC and IT Act R / W 66D.
