The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of the engineering entrance exam JEE-Main on Monday, in which 14 candidates scored 100 percentile marks. According to the NTA, the students who scored the top score in the first edition of JEE-Main 2022 include four from Telangana and three from Andhra Pradesh. The students who have scored the top scorers from Telangana include Jasti Yashvanath VVS, Rupesh Biyani, Aniket Chattopadhyay and Dhiraj Kurukunda. Koyana Suhas, P Ravi Kishore and Polyshetty Karthikeya from Andhra Pradesh scored the top score. The other students who have scored 100 in JEE-Main are Sarthak Maheshwari (Haryana), Kushagra Srivastava (Jharkhand), and Mrinal Garg (Punjab), Sneha Pareek (Assam), Navya (Rajasthan), Boya Harsen Satvik (Karnataka) and Saumitra Garg (Uttar Pradesh).

A senior NTA official said, "More than 8.7 lakh candidates registered for the exam, while 7.69 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. He said the exam was conducted at 588 examination centres in 407 cities, including 17 cities outside the country.'' According to the official, the cities where the examination was conducted outside the country include Manama, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Kuwait City, Kuala Lumpur, Laos/Abuja, Jakarta, Colombo, Vienna, Moscow, Port Louis, Bangkok.

A total of 558 observers, 424 city coordinators, 18 regional coordinators, 369 sub/independent observers and two national coordinators were deployed at the examination centres for the smooth and fair conduct of the examination, he said. The exam was conducted in 13 languages, which include Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. He said the NTA score is not exactly the same as the percentage of marks obtained.
