The Odisha government has taken a decision to include COVID management and climate change in the class-X syllabus from the current 2022-23 academic year, Education Minister SR Dash has said.
The minister said that studies regarding the pandemic will be incorporated into the curriculum to keep the younger generation prepared in the future, with the state has already experienced three COVID-19 waves and preparing for the fourth. Students also need to be aware of how climate change affects human society, he added, as natural disasters routinely hit the state. Students need to be aware of it because it's a worldwide threat, He said.

Climate change and COVID-19 management will be covered in the second semester of the current academic year.
