NEW DELHI: Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk express their delight over the Chandrayaan-3 lunar landing mission from India. In a show of solidarity, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon and owner of Blue Origin, conveyed his well-wishes for the mission, stating that he is wholeheartedly cheering for India's success. Similarly, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, also shared his positive reaction to the highly anticipated launch.

On Instagram's Threads platform, Bezos commented on a post by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation), saying, "Root for India! Good luck, Chandrayaan-3." Musk also lauded India's lunar endeavor, underlining an interesting fact about the mission's budget. He pointed out that India's expenditure on Chandrayaan-3, which stands at $75 million, is actually less than the budget of the movie Interstellar, which amounted to $165 million. This comparison was made by the Newsthink account on X (formerly Twitter). In response, Musk replied with appreciation, accompanied by an Indian tricolour emoji, signifying his support for the nation's space exploration efforts.

The primary focus of the Indian space agency remains fixed on achieving a successful moon landing. As the mission progresses, there are no plans for delay or fallback strategies. The Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft is composed of three key components: a propulsion module with a weight of 2,148 kg, a lander weighing 1,723.89 kg, and a 26 kg rover. Recently, the lander was detached from the propulsion module, and both components are now in lunar orbit, while the rover remains housed within the lander.

Overall, the messages from Bezos and Musk reflect their encouragement for India's ambitious lunar mission, highlighting the significance of international collaboration and innovation in space exploration.
