Ranchi: A case of molestation of a husband has come to light in Jharkhand's sub-capital Dumka. He first beat his 32-year-old wife with sticks and later poisoned her to death. The incident took place at Khirpahari village under Shikaripara. In this case, police have arrested Puran Dehri, the husband of the woman Fulmuni Rani.

It is said that there was a quarrel between the couple over something and the husband, who came to rage, first thrashed the wife with a stick and later poisoned her to death. Her body was completely swelled due to beating with sticks. Blood was coming out of the nose and mouth of the deceased. The woman's family, Muni Ram Dehri, has informed that three days ago, there was a dispute between the husband and wife over something and there was also a beating. There was also a dispute between the two at night over something. The woman was killed and her body was kept in the balcony. On being informed about the incident, the villagers were immediately informed to the police of Shikaripara police station.

Police reached the spot and took the body into their custody and conducted a post-mortem at The Phulo-Jhano Medical College Hospital and handed over the body to its family members. An FIR of murder has been lodged against the husband in this case. Shikaripara police station in-charge Nawal Kishore Singh said that a case of murder has been registered against the husband and he has been arrested.
