Dhanbad: Newly elected CM Hemant Soren of Jharkhand met PM Narendra Modi on Saturday at his residence in New Delhi. This was Hemant Soren's first meeting with PM Modi after becoming CM. After meeting PM Narendra Modi,  Soren said, "I will meet once more about the problems of the state."

He said that PM Modi has assured that the interests of tribals will be protected. A few days after becoming Chief Minister, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren resigned from Dumka seat. In the assembly elections, he had won the elections from Dumka and Barhait seats. On Monday, Soren took oath as MLA from Barhait seat and left Dumka seat.

It is being told that Hemant's wife Kalpana Murmu Soren can contest from Dumka assembly seat. Last month Hemant was sworn in as the 11th CM of Jharkhand in Ranchi. He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by the state governor Draupadi Murmu. Soren has occupied the post of Chief Minister of the state for the second time.
