Cows dying of starvation in Chatra, Gaushala president seeks help from administration

Chatra: Three animals died one after another within a week at Chatra Gaushala Trust in Jharkhand. This death is said to be due to hunger. In fact, due to the lockdown implemented by the government in view of the infection of Corona, there has been a lack of fodder in the cowshed. The animals are not getting enough food. Enough money is not available in the cowshed to buy fodder. Because of lockdown, the shops of Gaushala are neither getting rent nor any kind of help.

In such a situation, the problem of starvation has arisen in front of more than 100 animals given in the cowshed by the administration by the cow smugglers. The members of the Gaushala Trust have demanded assistance from the Deputy Commissioner to the SDO and the District Animal Husbandry Officer for the problem of fodder. But nobody has paid attention yet. There is about 100 livestock in Chatra Gaushala Trust which has been given to them by the district administration.

The Chairman of the Gaushala Trust said that due to the lockdown, the sources of income received from shop rents and grants have been closed. Due to which the problem of fodder has started. Some animals have also died. If the fodder is not arranged in time, many more animals may die. Many officials of the district have been requested for help in this regard, but so far no one has paid attention.
