Ranchi: Recently while addressing an election rally in Barhi, Jharkhand, PM Narendra Modi thanked the people for the BJP's victory in the by-elections in Karnataka. PM Modi said that the people of Karnataka had seen corruption and development carelessness during the government of Congress and its allies, where he has voted for BJP. The people of Karnataka have made sure that the Congress or the JDS will not be able to betray the people there. This is the message for all the states of the country that if someone goes against the mandate, cheats the people, then the public will punish him as soon as he gets the first opportunity.

Earlier, PM Modi has addressed election meetings in Khunti-Jamshedpur on 3 December 2019 and Daltonganj-Gumla on 25 November 2019. Polling will be held on December 12 in the third phase in Barhi and December 16 in the fourth phase in Bokaro. At 2 in the afternoon, he will address the public meeting in Bokaro. BJP candidate from Barhi seat Manoj Yadav joined BJP in October. Manoj Yadav has been a four-time MLA from Barhi seat on Congress ticket. In this seat, Manoj Yadav faces Umashankar Akela of Congress. Umashankar was first in BJP.
