Ranchi: According to the news just received, the Jharkhand High Court on Friday rejected the bail plea of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. In the 1990s, Lalu sought bail in the fodder scam case for making fake withdrawals of Rs 3.97 crore from the Dumka treasury. A bench of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh dismissed the bail plea of the former Bihar Chief Minister. He has also considered Lalu as the grounds for not completing half the time of the jail sentence received by the special CBI court for rejecting the petition. The special CBI court had sentenced Lalu Prasad to 7 years imprisonment in the Dumka case.

According to the information received from the sources, let us tell you that during Lalu's Chief Minister, a fodder scam of more than Rs 900 crore was done in the Animal Husbandry Department. So far, Lalu has been declared guilty in four cases related to this scam for the fraudulent withdrawal of funds from the treasury. Of these, two cases are from the Chaibasa treasury, while one case is from the Dumka and Deoghar treasuries.

Lalu has got bail in each case of Chaibasa and Deoghar. He is being heard in a special case related to the Doranda treasury in Ranchi special CBI court. Lalu, who has been in jail since December 2017, is currently undergoing medical treatment in Ranchi.
