Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court, while giving a big decision on Friday, said that the upper caste poor will also get a 10 percent reservation in the recruitment of Assistant Engineers. The double bench of the court changed the order of the single bench. In the High Court, the court of Justice Rangan Mukhopadhyay and Justice Rajesh Shankar has given a verdict in the matter of giving 10 percent reservation to the poor upper castes of the state in the matter of appointment of Assistant Engineer.

Rejecting the order of the single bench, he clearly ordered that 10 percent of poor upper castes of the state should be given the benefit of reservation. The court has ordered the state government and the commission to complete the appointment process soon. With the order of the double bench, now the path of the main examination has been cleared. One day before the date of the main examination, a single bench of the High Court canceled the advertisement and ordered to remove the advertisement again.

During the hearing in the court, advocate Saurabh Shekhar, appearing for Ranjeet Kumar Shah, had said that it is not appropriate to give the benefit of reservation to poor upper castes in the appointment of an assistant engineer because of the vacant post in the appointment of assistant engineer. It is before the year 2019 and the rule for giving reservations to the poor upper castes has been made in 2019. This reservation can be implemented from 2019, but before this rule cannot be applied to the vacant post. Therefore, this petition should be dismissed and a new advertisement should be ordered to be taken out.
