Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court has called the state's largest hospital RIMS a shame for not having a CT scan machine. During the hearing on a PIL, a division bench of Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan and Judge Sujit Narayan Prasad said in a verbal comment that it is a shame that Jharkhand's largest hospital, RIMS, does not have a CT scan machine.
During the hearing being done through video conferencing, K.K. Sone and Rimes director Dr. Kameshwar Prasad were also present online. During the hearing of the PIL, the honorable bench has expressed strong displeasure over the attitude of RIMS. The court has ordered the RIMS director to make a written request to the state government for the purchase of a CT scan machine today. The court has said that this case will be heard again on Friday. During the hearing, the state health secretary and director of RIMS have also been instructed to be present during the hearing.
During the hearing, the Honorable Bench asked RIMS what equipment have been purchased in the rims during the Corona period, why the machine for CT scan and pathology has not been purchased so far. Along with this, the High Court has also raised questions on the investigation of patients with private pathology. The court told the RIMS administration that when RIMS is a government institution, why is the pathology investigation conducted by private institutions?
