Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck presented their fans with a wave of shock and surprise as they tied the knot out of the blue. The singer shared the news of her wedding via her newsletter and went on to share a post on her Instagram handle flaunting her wedding ring. The couple, who were engaged in the early 2000s before splitting up for 17 years, tied the knot on Saturday night at The Little White Chapel, according to Lopez. “We did it. Love is beautiful”.
JLo in her first post on Instagram post marriage, wrote in the captions, "Sadie" referencing the lyrics "Sadie, Sadie, married lady," as sung by Fanny Brice in the show. Along with it, Lopez also dropped a photo where she was seen flaunting her wedding ring as she posed in a make-up-free look in the bed. Speaking about the wedding bands, Lopez wrote in her newsletter, "We read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we'll wear for the rest of our lives."
The post received congratulatory messages from her friends, fans, and many celebrities. Vanessa Bryant commented on JLo's post and wrote, "Congratulations!". Hoda Kotb also congratulated the couple saying, "Love is patient and right on time. Congrats my darling."
The singer also shared her new name in the newsletter as she referred to herself as "Mrs Jennifer Lynn Affleck." Lopez has reportedly taken Ben's surname legally according to marriage documents obtained by TMZ. After getting engaged earlier this year, Ben and JLo tied the knot in a surprise ceremony nearly 20 years after the couple was originally supposed to tie the knot after their first engagement back in the early 2000s.
