A major controversy has started in JNU over non-veg food and Ram Navami worship and after the controversy, Delhi police were deployed in the JNU campus till late in the night. It is being told that there was a clash between the left organisations and the students associated with the ABVP twice on Sunday in the JNU campus. In this case, the students say that the police had reached JNU after the incident in the afternoon, but despite this, there were clashes between the students at night. Yes, and in view of this, additional police force was deployed at night. In this case, at the request of the JNU administration, the police have come to the campus and the injured have been sent to the hospital by ambulance. According to the information received so far, the police on the campus were questioning representatives of both sides.

The two sides are holding separate meetings. The JNU students' organisation has complained about the whole matter to the JNU administration. In fact, in this case, the JNU administration says that the whole matter is being investigated and any such indiscipline will not be tolerated. On the other hand, a senior official of the administration said that there can be no restriction on one's attire, food and faith. All students follow their religion according to their own accord. The mess student committee runs and decides the same menu.

The Left students alleged that the ABVP students have also assaulted the Kaveri Hostel Mess Secretary. On the other hand, ABVP students alleged that left-wing students prevented them from worshipping Ram Navami at Kaveri Hostel, though the Ram Navami worship was later concluded. In this case, the ABVP says that a program of worship and havan was held on the occasion of Ram Navami. The worship time at Kaveri Hostel was eaten at 3:30 pm. In which a large number of JNU students came. After that, the students of the Left came and tried to stop the worship and disrupted it. Not only this, but they tried to create an unnecessary ruckus over the right to food.

The General Secretary of The ABVP, Nidhi Tripathi has accused the Left organisations of assaulting the student Divya and a differently-abled student. In fact, N Sai Balaji, national president of the All India Students' Association (AISA), said, "I have also been assaulted. What will be made in the food in the mess is decided by the committee of the mess there, which is run by the students there, but the students associated with the ABVP stopped the non-veg in the mess and pelted stones at us at night.'' He also said, "JNU students will decide who will eat what and what they will wear. Strict action should be taken against the ABVP functionaries.''
