Thiruvananthapuram: Workers and labours have had to flee amid the Corona epidemic. After this, many people have to find new ways of employment. MNREGA scheme is proving to be very effective in rural areas. In the midst of all this, an engineer started work in the MNREGA scheme in Kerala last week.

Automobile engineer Krishnakumar KP has got work in a village in Pathanamthitta district. According to a report, the Engineer of the age of twenty-three had lost his job. He says that this is the only work he found. Krishnakumar is currently working on planting saplings. According to the officials, 5 graduates have also registered for work under MNREGA in Azhiyur village of Kozhikode district. However, this is the first time that men have applied for MNREGA. All the women were among the 1537 labourers of this panchayat.

C. Ramachandran, head of Beddaka Panchayat of Kasargod, speaks in this regard that an awareness campaign has been started to enrol the youngsters whose employment has gone to MNREGA. Here 4 people have started the work in MNREGA. MNREGA is considered the last ray of hope for older women in this village of Kerala. At the time of the Monthly crisis, there has been a shortage of money in the houses for the last 4 months. There is no job left in cities. Due to this, the MNREGA scheme has also become a lifeline for the educated youth.
