Kolkata: Abhishek Banerjee, national general secretary of Trinamool Congress (TMC) and nephew of CM Mamta Banerjee, has received a big blow from the Calcutta High Court on Friday (May 12) in the famous teacher recruitment scam of West Bengal . Actually, Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay had given a big order after the sensational letter of Kuntal Ghosh, the accused arrested in the teacher recruitment scam. He asked the CBI to interrogate Abhishek Banerjee and Kuntal Ghosh face to face. Today on Friday, Justice Amrita Sinha has refused to change that order.

Let us tell you that the Supreme Court had removed the case of Abhishek Banerjee from the bench of Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay. After which the matter went to the bench of Justice Amrita Sinha. But, Mamta Banerjee's nephew Abhishek did not get relief from there either. CBI had also issued a notice to Abhishek Banerjee in this matter, but the top court had given a stay shortly before the notice was issued. On behalf of Abhishek Banerjee, advocate Kishore Dutta said in the court today that Justice Gangopadhyay's order is biased.

Abhishek's lawyer said that Justice Abhijit had warned in the name of Abhishek Banerjee in a TV interview. On this, Justice Sinha said that whether the judge's order is biased or not, it will be analyzed later, but there is no merit in your request. Let me tell you, Kuntal Ghosh had written a letter to the lower court judge and the Hastings police station, alleging that the CBI-ED was pressurizing him to name Abhishek Banerjee. After that, on this matter, the court had ordered Kuntal and Abhishek to be interrogated face to face.

What is Bengal teacher recruitment scam: –

Let us tell you that last year a big recruitment scam was caught in Bengal. The then minister of Mamta government, Partha Chatterjee was arrested. 50 crore cash and gold worth crores were recovered from Parth's close Arpita Mukherjee's house. Arpita confessed that this money is not hers but Parth's. Many leaders of Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) have been arrested in this case. In this case, ineligible people were also given big posts in the education department after taking a huge amount of bribe. After which the Kolkata High Court had ordered the removal of many such people from their jobs. Mamta government is badly surrounded in this matter and the name of CM's nephew Abhishek Banerjee is also being linked to this matter, which is being investigated by CBI.
