Washington DC: America's allies issued strong condemnations of rioters who stormed the US Capitol building in Washington on Wednesday. The violence erupted after US President Donald Trump spoke to protesters to repeat his false claim that he won the US election in November. After the horrifying incident, President-elect Joe Biden launched a blistering attack on Donald Trump on Thursday and the top two Democrats in Congress called for his immediate removal from office over the storming of the US Capitol by his supporters.

Biden declined to address the mounting demands for Trump's removal but accused the outgoing Republican leader of an "all-out assault on the institutions of our democracy."Yesterday, in my view, was one of the darkest days in the history of our nation," said Biden, who is to be sworn in as the 46th US president on January 20. He called the protesters as insurrectionists, domestic terrorists. He said, "They were a riotous mob, insurrectionists, domestic terrorists."

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has called Washington policymakers to remove President Donald Trump from office by invoking the 25th Amendment. Pelosi said if the 25th Amendment is not invoked against Trump, Congress will move forward with the impeachment of the president. Meanwhile, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao became the first member of the cabinet, meanwhile, to step down in protest of Wednesday's shocking attack on the halls of Congress.
