Chandigarh: The Punjab Police has achieved another success in the case of Amritpal Singh, head of the pro-Khalistan organisation Waris Punjab De. Police have arrested Amritpal's associate, Joga Singh. The arrest was made on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from the Sirhind area. Even before this, the police had arrested many associates of Amritpal.

Regarding the arrest of Joga Singh, an aide of absconding accused Amritpal Singh, DIG of Border Range in Amritsar, Narinder Bhargava has told that Amritsar Rural and Hoshiarpur police were running a joint operation to arrest Amritpal Singh's associates. During this campaign, one of his associates has been caught in Sirhind. The accused was identified as Joga Singh. He has also said that it was Joga Singh who gave shelter to Amritpal in Pilibhit, UP, after he absconded and continued to support him. After the absconding of Amritpal Singh, i.e., from March 18 to March 28, Joga Singh was with him. Joga is a resident of Ludhiana. He was in charge of a dera in Pilibhit, UP. Joga had also arranged for Amritpal to return to Punjab.

Let us inform you that earlier on Friday (April 14, 2023) two other people were arrested for giving shelter to Amritpal Singh. Their identification was done as Rajdeep Singh and Sarabjit Singh. Rajdeep Singh is a resident of Hoshiarpur, and Sarabjit Singh is a resident of Jalandhar. Both were produced in court. From where the court sent him on one-day police remand.
