Farmers' agitation: Nadda's big meeting with farmer leaders today, Shah-Tomar can also be present

New Delhi: Three new agricultural laws were passed by the central government from Parliament in September last year amid strong opposition from the opposition. Since then, farmers in Punjab and Haryana have been agitating against it. BJP president JP Nadda has called a meeting of farmer leaders of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh amidst the ongoing protests at the borders of Delhi, the capital of the country, against the new agricultural laws.

This meeting will be held at 6.30 pm today in the BJP headquarters. During this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, and Union Minister of State Dr. Sanjeev Balyan are expected to be present. According to media reports, many MLAs and MPs are also expected to be present during this meeting. Three new agricultural laws were passed by Sanjeev Balyan the Parliament in September last year amid strong opposition from the opposition. Since then, farmers in Punjab and Haryana have been demonstrating against it.

The farmers fear that through these three new agricultural laws, the government will abolish the MSP and mandi system and leave them to the mercy of industrialists. Whereas, the government says that through these laws, the agriculture sector will improve and new investment avenues will be opened. After this, the income of farmers will double.
