New Delhi: Farmers have been agitating for three long times about the three new agricultural laws of the Center. Meanwhile, the program has been organized on behalf of Sarva Khap Panchayat on Tuesday on the occasion of Chhoturam Jayanti at Garhi Sampla in Rohtak, Haryana, in which Rakesh Tikait, national spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) has also participated. During this, Rakesh Tikait has said that he will conduct a mahapanchayat across the country in the coming days.

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said, 'The issue is the same as Sir Chhoturam enacted 9 laws in 1938 for the rights of farmers under the British rule. Farmer's land was saved from the auction and the mandi system was implemented. We have been seeing for 72-73 years that farmers of Haryana, Punjab used to get MSP. We used to come and sell our products here, but this government will not allow this system even in law.

He said that 'We are on the same Sir Chhoturam's land, today the law made by him is being broken. Leaders living in flashy houses do not know anything, we should also include them in many committees. They do not know the ground reality. There is no agriculture ministry nor agriculture minister in the country, who come to talk to us. They have only an 18 percent agricultural charge. We have told the government that if we make an agriculture cabinet, it will be done.
